The Francesca is Sealy’s ‘flag-ship’ Orthopaedic mattress. It is the firmest mattress they produce with 1400 pocket springs and a comfort rating of Medium/Firm. This particular rating in a pocket sprung mattress is rather hard to find and therefore makes the Francesca a very popular mattress. It is hand tufted as traditional orthopaedic mattresses are.
Pocket spring systems without a doubt provide the greatest sleeping experience since they have the ability to ensure all the pressure relief and support of a top grade coil spring unit but with a whole new comfort characteristic. The individually pocketed springs offer the optimum amount of motion zones, these respond to the body’s weight and provide total spinal alignment. This is the main attribute of the pocket spring system which is encased in Sealy’s patented Unicase design, completely surrounding the springs to give total edge-to-edge support across the entire surface.
Another fine feature to this collection is the deep layer of Innergetic latex that sits atop the springs. This type of latex provides superior comfort, pressure relief and weight dispersal; Tencil fibres that are eco-friendly, silky soft and keep you cool and dry during use; and Purotex, which combined with with Sealy’s brand new Smart Fibres completely eliminate house dust mites for a totally hypoallergenic sleeping experience and regulate the body’s temperature properly.
